Get to know Brahmi
I am a mother, wife, sister, daughter, friend and Masi (aunt). I live with my husband Jon and our daughter Juniper in Woodinville. We enjoy spending our time in the mountains - on snow, bike or foot. I believe in the healing power of nature and the ability to change your mood or mindset with a little time in the forest.
I have always loved working with children, and spent many years as a nanny, babysitter, preschool aid and daycare worker. Despite obtaining an M.Sc. in Sustainable Resource Management and going back to school for Interior Design, I have always felt a calling to work with families, children and new parents. This became especially clear after experiencing a wonderful pregnancy followed by an unexpectedly traumatic birth and early postpartum. It is through these challenging experiences that I realized that my true calling is in the birth space, and that I want to be a support, comfort, source of information and calming presence for those on their own birth journeys.
As your doula I will work to help make your birth experience exactly what you want it to be. I will respect your choices, help you make informed decisions, access resources and be there by your side as you enter this new and amazing phase of life. I believe that every person who wants a doula should have one and therefore I offer reduced-fee or sliding-scale options to a select few clients per month.
